Student handbook/code of conduct includes a merit/demerit point system.

District policy states,

“Each student begins the semester with 50 merit points. Each rule infraction that results in a loss of merit points takes points from the original total. When all merit points are lost, an appointment may be scheduled with the District Superintendent for a formal disciplinary hearing.”

Let's Clarify

Aug-Dec you receive 50 points

Jan-May you receive 50 points

Tardies

5= 2 days of detention

10= -5 points + 2 days of detention

15= -5 points + 2 days of detention

20= -5 points + 1 day of ISS

25+= -5 points + 2 days of ISS

Attendance

When you are absent a parent or guardian MUST excuse the absence. If not…

1st warning is an automated message from the school

2nd warning is a reminder from Mrs. Trampleasure

Detention then will be assigned if it is not cleared within 48 hours.

-5 points for ditching

Cell Phones

1st offense- Confiscate phone. Can be picked up after school.

2nd offense-  Confiscate phone. 1 day of detention. Parent picks it up.

3rd offense- Confiscate phone. 3 days of detention. Parent picks it up.

If the device is confiscated again during the same semester, the student may face 2-3 days of suspension.

Dress Code

1st offense- Warning is given. Clothes must be changed or turned inside out depending on the violation.

2nd offense- Detention assigned + -5 points. Clothes must be changed or turned inside out depending on the violation.

3rd offense- Detention assigned + -5 points. Clothes must be changed or turned inside out depending on the violation.

*Repeat offenses may result in a suspension from school.

Ditching Detention

1st offense add another day to assigned days

2nd offense -5 merit points + assigned days are doubled

3rd offense -5 points + 1 day of In School Suspension

*Failure to attend ISS will result in 1 day of Off Campus Suspension.
